Where to begin? Do you live under a rock in a country that has never seen snow nor the Internet? Because that’s about what it would take not to know who Devun Walsh is.

Devun’s career has seen 40+ banger video parts, all of which were strong enough to be opening or closing. Other resume bullet points include: Forum dream team/original 8; Wildcats founder; Westbeach Classic killer; Mack Dawg legend; DC heavyweight; Webisode series innovator; and quite possibly the biggest, cleanest, and most stylish backcountry snowboarder in history. A snowboarder summarized simply, Devun is a rider that would appear on any conceivable snowboard hall-of-fame rider lists, no matter how long short. So where does the success all come from? Maybe it’s as simple as this: Devun has no quit in him, because he’s still a perennial MVP contender amongst a generation of pro shreds that have attempted to model their riding styles from his.

And yet, we’re talking about a guy that saunters around his native North Vancouver, BC as if he’s on his way to an everyday job loading trucks or punching numbers on a calculator. At his root, Devun is a simple guy that is as passionate about his family, his golf handicap, and his men's league hockey team as he is about his snowboard career. Maybe that's why so many industry and media heavies know Devun Walsh as the true snowboarder’s snowboarder; he's a man of the people that doesn’t act like he’s more important, deserving, or accomplished than anyone else in a room.

Many would say that “Dev’s” humility is a huge part of his success. Others might say that a more ostentatious style might have elevated his notoriety to more of the masses. But none would argue that he’s ever failed to be true to snowboarding, himself and all of those around him. His stories will undoubtedly be told for years and years and years to come.
